NHN Corp. on Thursday reported its first-quarter net loss of 4.8 billion won (US$3.6 million), shifting from a profit of 25.6 billion won a year earlier. The company said in a regulatory filing that it posted 27.3 billion won in operating profit for the quarter, compared with 19.1 billion won a year ago. Sales rose 10.2 percent to 604.4 billion won. The operating profit was 16.8 percent higher than the average estimate, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
