Phnom Penh: H.E. Jang Yun Gon, the outgoing Ambassador of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to the Kingdom of Cambodia, was honored with a farewell meeting today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The meeting was hosted by H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn extended his congratulations to Ambassador Jang Yun Gon on the successful completion of his nine-year diplomatic term in Cambodia. He expressed appreciation for the Ambassador's contributions to maintaining and strengthening the friendly relations between the two countries.
Ambassador Jang Yun Gon conveyed his gratitude to Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for their cooperation and support provided to him and the DPRK Embassy during his tenure.
Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn highlighted the enduring friendship between Cambodia and the DPRK, established on December 20, 1964, by the late King-Father, His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah NORODOM SIHANOUK "Preah Borom Ratanak Kaudh," and H.E. Kim Il-sung, 60 years ago. He expressed hope that Ambassador Jang Yun Gon will continue to contribute to Cambodia-DPRK relations in the future.
