Over 500 participants took part in the five-kilometre (km) Takaful 4All Fun Run 2024 #Kuantan Aktif Tenang, which aims to promote a healthy lifestyle, at the East Coast Mall grounds here today. Takaful Malaysia Association (MTA) chief operating officer Hasri Hamidan said the run is being held for the third time in conjunction with the Financial Literacy Carnival (Karnival Celik Kewangan) organised by Bank Negara Malaysia. "Besides providing information on the importance of finance, matters related to scammers and the importance of Takaful protection, one of our main objectives is to promote healthy living. "When we speak of Takaful and insurance, we cannot run away from the topic of taking care of our health and healthy lifestyle. That's why we organise the Takaful 4All Fun Run at every Financial Literacy Carnival,' he told Bernama after the flagging-off of the Takaful 4All Fun Run #Kuantan Aktif Tenang. The run was jointly flagged off at 7.30 am by Hasri, Bank Negara Malaysia deputy governor Adnan Zayla ni Mohamad Zahid, MTA deputy chairman Shahrul Azuan and MTA chief executive officer Mohd Radzuan Mohamed and all the participants who completed the 5km race received medals and lucky draw prizes. Hasri said the event, held for the third time after Kota Bahru, Kelantan and Kulai, Johor, will continue to be organised in line with the Financial Literacy Carnival at other locations in the future.
