Phnom Penh: The Phnom Penh Capital Administration has announced temporary road closures along the riverside in the morning of June 15 to host the 13th Phnom Penh International Half Marathon 2025. The closures will begin at 5:00 a.m. and remain in place until the conclusion of the race, held primarily in celebration of Her Majesty Queen-Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk’s 89th birthday. The Phnom Penh Authority seeks the public’s understanding regarding the expected traffic disruptions. The race will start and finish near Wat Botum Park, along Samdech Sothearos Boulevard.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, this year’s Phnom Penh Half Marathon is also held in conjunction with World Environment Day and the Olympic Day Run. Approximately 5,000 runners are expected to join the races committed to supporting charity, healthiness, and friendship.
