Phnom penh: A humanitarian initiative led by Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, and his spouse, Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, has provided 5,000 kitchen supply sets to displaced families in Kulen district, Preah Vihear province.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the donation was distributed by a Phnom Penh municipal delegation to families taking refuge in the Wat Po 5000 safety centre this morning under the auspices of Mr. Ek Khundoeun, Deputy Governor of Phnom Penh Municipality. The event was attended by H.E. Kim Rithy, Governor of Preah Vihear province.
Governor Kim Rithy extended his profound gratitude to the Prime Minister and Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony for their support. During the handover ceremony, Mr. Ek Khundoeun conveyed Phnom Penh Governor Khuong Sreng's sympathies and well-wishes to the affected families. He also acknowledged the military personnel who have sacrificed in defense of national sovereignty, wishing them strength and good health.
In addition to the kitchen supplies, the Phnom Penh municipal administration delivered food provisions, daily necessities, motorbikes, and financial aid from benefactors to support the Kulen Health Centre and the Intervention Division 3 over three consecutive missions.
