Phnom Penh: The Phnom Penh Municipal Administration announced today a significant demand for 31,807 workers across key sectors, including construction and garment manufacturing. This announcement comes as Cambodian migrant workers in Thailand are reportedly planning to return home following recent border tensions.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Phnom Penh Governor H.E. Khuong Sreng stated that city authorities have prepared over 400 buses to facilitate the transport of returning workers and citizens from the Thai border to their hometowns, pending official instructions from the Royal Government. Nationwide, Cambodia currently has approximately 230,000 job openings available.
This push to fill vacancies aligns with Cambodia's strategic efforts to bolster its economy.
