NEW DELHI, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's visit to India next week offers an opportunity to "intensify engagement" with Malaysia, the Indian foreign ministry said on Friday. India hopes to take its partnership with Malaysia to "newer heights," ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said during a media briefing. "The visit will offer an opportunity to review and intensify our engagement across a wide spectrum of areas," he said. He recalled that Anwar earlier visited India in 2019 to participate in a conference in New Delhi and met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during that visit. "We eagerly look forward to the visit of the prime minister of Malaysia," Jaiswal said. A formal announcement will be made on Saturday, he said. Source:BERNAMA News Agency
