Phnom penh: Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet has commended the bravery and sacrifice of Cambodian soldiers and police forces actively defending the nation's territorial integrity, while expressing condolences over the loss of Cambodian lives due to Thailand's armed attacks.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Prime Minister shared his gratitude through a message on his official social media platform, acknowledging the ongoing support from the Cambodian people for the national forces. He urged the citizens to maintain the spirit of national unity to protect the country's territory.
Samdech Thipadei reiterated the Royal Government's commitment to supporting displaced citizens and facilitating the return of Cambodian workers from Thailand. He highlighted that the government has implemented urgent measures since the onset of Thailand's armed aggression on July 24, 2025.
For those displaced by the conflict, the National Committee for Disaster Management is collaborating with relevant ministries, institutions, and provincial administrations to provide essential services such as safe shelters, food, accommodation, and healthcare. The Ministries of Economy and Finance and Health are actively working to meet practical needs and ensure the well-being of the displaced population.
Regarding the return of Cambodian workers from Thailand, the Prime Minister noted the efforts of relevant ministries, armed forces, and the seven provincial administrations along the border. They have facilitated border crossings and arranged temporary shelters when needed.
The Ministry of National Defence, the Royal Cambodian Army, and the Phnom Penh Municipality, in collaboration with border provinces, have organized transportation to help workers return to their home provinces.
Furthermore, provincial and capital administrations, along with national working groups assigned to the provinces, are working to welcome and support the returning workers within their respective jurisdictions.
