Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia graced a Yassin recital and Tahlil ceremony today at Istana Negara in conjunction with the birth anniversary of the late Tunku Laksamana Johor, Tunku Abdul Jalil Ibni Sultan Ibrahim. In a post on Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar's Facebook page, Raja Zarith Sofiah performed the congregational Asar prayers with palace officials and staff at Istana Negara's main surau before participating in the Yassin recital and Tahlil led by Istana Negara Assistant Religious Officer, Ustaz Razi Hassan. 'Her Majesty also hosted about 30 tahfiz students who attended a reception after the Tahlil session,' read the post. The late Tunku Abdul Jalil was born on July 5, 1990 and died on Dec 5, 2015.
