RoK to Continue Strengthening and Expanding Cooperation with Cambodia

Phnom penh: Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet received a farewell courtesy call from H.E. Park Jung-Wook, outgoing Ambassador of the Republic of Korea (RoK) to Cambodia, at the Peace Palace this afternoon.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Ambassador expressed pride in the growing strength of Korea-Cambodia relations, which have expanded significantly since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1997 and were elevated to a 'strategic partnership' in 2024. H.E. Park Jung-Wook also commended the close cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the areas of trade, business, and investment, and thanked the Royal Government of Cambodia for its support during his diplomatic mission.

He affirmed that the Korean government will continue to deepen and broaden its cooperation with Cambodia, aiming for greater mutual prosperity. In response, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet congratulated the Ambassador on the successful completion of his mission and expressed appreciation for his active role in enhancing bilateral relations.

The Prime Minister recalled the productive outcomes of his official visit to the RoK in 2024, during which both countries expanded cooperation across various sectors. Samdech Thipadei also highlighted the untapped potential for further cooperation and expressed optimism that Cambodia-RoK relations will continue to grow stronger in the years ahead.
