President Yoon Suk Yeol has exchanged congratulatory cables with Nepal's Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the two countries' diplomatic relations, Seoul's foreign ministry said Thursday. The telegrams were delivered Wednesday, on the same date that the two countries forged the diplomatic ties back in 1974, the ministry said. Congratulating Nepal on the anniversary, Yoon proposed the two countries work together to expand the "horizon of bilateral cooperation" in people-to-people exchanges, agriculture and other areas. Dahal also sent his congratulations to Yoon and expressed expectations for a further deepening of the mutually beneficial partnership, according to Seoul's ministry. Source: Yonhap News Agency
