The South Korean government on Wednesday expressed deep concern over the escalating tensions in the Middle East following the clashes between Israel and Hezbollah. "South Korea urges strict adherence to international laws, including humanitarian law, to ensure the safety of civilians, and strongly calls on all parties involved to refrain from actions that could further aggravate the situation," the foreign ministry said. Tensions in the Middle East have escalated as Israel intensified its military campaign against Hezbollah in Lebanon earlier this week. In response, Hezbollah fired a ballistic missile targeting the headquarters of Mossad, Israel's foreign intelligence agency, in Tel Aviv. Source: Yonhap News Agency
