Geneva: Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia, participated in a dinner discussion with parliamentary leaders and heads of inter-parliamentary institutions during her diplomatic mission to Switzerland.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the dinner meeting, organized by the leadership of the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers' Conference (ISC), served as a venue for exchanging views on enhancing parliamentary diplomacy amidst complex global challenges. Samdech Khuon Sudary used this opportunity to highlight Cambodia's successful peacebuilding efforts through the 'Win-Win Policy,' initiated by Samdech Techo Hun Sen, which ended the civil war in Cambodia in the late 1990s.
Samdech emphasized that the 'Win-Win Policy' laid the foundation for national unity, enduring peace, and sustained development across all sectors, reiterating that "without peace, development cannot take root." The meeting was attended by several distinguished international guests, including Hon. Dev Raj Ghimire, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Nepal; Hon. Ms. Gladys Jepkosgei Boss, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Kenya; Hon. Ek Nath Dhakal, Member of Parliament of Nepal and Secretary-General of the ISC; Hon. Lork Kheng, Chairwoman of the 8th Commission of the Cambodian National Assembly; and Hon. Dr. Chan Sotheavy, Chairwoman of the 6th Commission of the Cambodian Senate.
