Samsung C andT Q1 net profit up 9.3 pct to 822.1 bln won

Samsung C andT Corp. on Wednesday reported its first-quarter net income of 822.1 billion won (US$600.5 million), up 9.3 percent from a year earlier. The company said in a regulatory filing that operating profit for the January-March period rose 11.2 percent on-year to 712.3 billion won. Revenue increased 5.4 percent to 10.79 trillion won.
