Samsung Card Co. on Thursday reported its fourth-quarter net income of 179.4 billion won (US$135.3 million), up 8.2 percent from a year earlier. The company said in a regulatory filing that it posted 238.8 billion won in operating profit for the quarter, compared with 228.9 billion won a year ago. Sales rose 24.8 percent to 933.3 billion won.
