SEOUL, Samsung Fire and Marine Insurance Co. on Tuesday reported its first-quarter net income of 702 billion won (US$513 million), up 14.6 percent from a year earlier. The company said in a regulatory filing that operating income for the January-March period rose 7.8 percent on-year to 897.1 billion won. Revenue increased 3.1 percent to 5.5 trillion won.
