Samsung SDI Q2 net profit down 38 pct to 301.2 bln won

Samsung SDI Co. on Tuesday reported its second-quarter net income of 301.2 billion won (US$217.6 million), down 38 percent from a year earlier. Operating profit for the April-June period was 280.2 billion won, down 37.8 percent from a year ago, the company said in a regulatory filing. Revenue fell 23.8 percent to 4.45 trillion won. The earnings beat market expectations.
