The installation of standard seats "backrest" at the National Olympic Stadium (NOS) is now 80 percent complete. Forward Joo Min-kyu netted two goals in the first half and defender Seol Young-woo added another after the restart at Munsu Football Stadium in Ulsan, some 300 kilometers southeast of Seoul. The second leg will be next Wednesday at Japan National Stadium in Tokyo. The aggregate score will determine the winner. There is no away goals rule in play, meaning the teams will go to extra time or penalties, if necessary, if they are tied in total goals after 90 minutes in the second match. In the quarterfinals, the winner of this series will go up against the winner of the round of 16 series featuring two K League 1 clubs, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors and Pohang Steelers.
