Siem Reap Authorities Facilitate Return of Displaced Persons

Siem reap: Following requests from displaced residents, Siem Reap provincial authorities have arranged for their return home.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, on Sunday, Siem Reap Provincial Governor H.E. Prak Sophorn instructed his team to provide four vehicles to transport 31 people to their homes in Oddar Meanchey, Banteay Meanchey, and Battambang provinces.

The group of 31 included 22 women. Fourteen people, including nine women, returned to Oddar Meanchey. Six people, four of whom were women, were transported to Battambang, while 11 people, including nine women, returned to Banteay Meanchey.

The residents, who had sought refuge in Siem Reap, expressed their gratitude to Governor Prak Sophorn, the provincial, district and city administrations, armed forces, and Buddhist monks. They thanked them for providing safe shelter, food, supplies, and sanitation facilities during their temporary stay.
