SK hynix Inc. on Thursday reported its first-quarter net profit of 1.91 trillion won (US$1.4 billion), turning from a loss of 2.58 trillion won a year earlier. Operating profit for the January-March period was 2.88 trillion, compared with a loss of 3.4 trillion won a year ago, the company said in a regulatory filing. Sales rose 144.3 percent to 12.42 trillion won. The earnings beat market expectations.
