Smooth Operations Continue at Poipet Border Checkpoint

Poipet: Cross-border traffic at the Poipet International Border Checkpoint in Banteay Meanchey province and Thailand's Khlong Luek checkpoint in Sa Kaeo province remained smooth and orderly this morning.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Brigadier General Y Chamroeun, Chief of the Poipet International Border Police Post, reported that the flow of pedestrians and vehicles has been consistent and without significant congestion. He attributed this efficiency to the strong coordination and vigilance of law enforcement officers stationed at the checkpoints.

The Cambodian side of the checkpoint operates from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., while the Thai side is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Authorities at checkpoints are committed to facilitating the movement of Cambodian citizens and international visitors, ensuring public order, border security, and efficient cross-border operations.

Their ongoing efforts are crucial in maintaining safety and order along the frontier and improving the overall border-crossing experience.
