KUALA LUMPUR, A magnitude of 6.4 earthquake was detected in the Vanuatu Islands at 6.23 am today. The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) in a statement at 11.15 am reported that the epicentre was 744 kilometres (km) south of Lata, Solomon Islands and occurred at a depth of 84 km.
