The U.S. to Actively Monitor the Implementation of Ceasefire

Kuala lumpur: H.E. Gen. Tea Seiha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, met today with Admiral Samuel Paparo, Commander of the United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM), and H.E. Edgard Kagan, United States Ambassador to Malaysia.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during the meeting, H.E. Ambassador Kagan reaffirmed the United States' strong support for the ceasefire initiative launched under the leadership of President Donald Trump, and facilitated by Malaysia in its capacity as the current ASEAN Chair.

H.E. Ambassador and Admiral Paparo emphasized that the United States will actively monitor the situation to ensure the successful and effective implementation of the ceasefire. They also confirmed their commitment to provide key logistical and technical support to the establishment of the ASEAN Monitoring Team (AMT) as soon as possible.

Furthermore, they have outlined the United States' ongoing commitment through assistance in military planning, equipment, deployment systems, space based and air surveillance systems, and other cutting-edge technologies. These contributions reflect the U.S. readiness to support a genuine lasting peace.
