Phnom penh: The Ministry of Civil Service is hosting a hybrid workshop on Digitalisation in Public Administration from Aug. 26 to 28 in Siem Reap provincial city. The opening ceremony was presided over by H.E. Hun Many, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Civil Service.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the three-day event gathers representatives from ASEAN Member States, Timor-Leste, ASEAN+3 countries, the ASEAN Secretariat, and local government officials, with Thailand participating via video conference. H.E. Yoeun Sambath, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Civil Service, stated that the workshop is organised under the framework of the ACCSM+3 Work Plan 2021-2025. The workshop has three main objectives: enhancing institutional capacity and civil servants' competencies in digital public administration, promoting knowledge exchange through best practices, experiences, and innovations in digitalisation, and developing and sharing digital literacy programmes, strategies, and approaches tailored to each country's context.
The workshop includes three expert-led presentations: "Digital Transformation Blueprint" by South Korea, "Best Practices in Using Digital Tools in Public Administration" by China, and "Mechanisms and Curriculum to Accelerate Digital Literacy for Civil Servants" by Japan. In addition to these sessions, the workshop features country presentations from ASEAN Member States and daily panel discussions to foster dialogue and collaboration.
