The Ministry of Women's Affairs is going to officially launch Neary Rattanak VI Strategic Plan on Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment 2024-2028 at Sun and Moon Riverside Hotel in Phnom Penh on April 8. According to the ministry's press release issued on Friday, Neary Rattanak VI is a master plan for promoting gender equality and empowering women and girls in Cambodia within five years (2024-2028). It is designed to respond to the situations and the evolution of society, which aligns with the policy framework of the Royal Government of Cambodia particularly, contributing to the implementation of the Pentagonal Strategy Phase I, Cambodian Sustainable Development Goals Framework, and the commitments of the United Nations and region, the source said. This Official Launch Ceremony is an important national event to set the tone for the strategy's implementation and ensure that all key partners and stakeholders are aligned with the national vision to promote gender equality and women's empowerment, it added. This event will be attended by approximately 500 participants from across the country, representing ministries, institutions, diplomats, civil society organisations, national and international development partners, policymakers, researchers, academia, youth, and sub-national levels, pointed out the press release.
