President Yoon Suk Yeol on Thursday appointed two new Supreme Court justices, his office said, after their nominations were approved by parliament. Yoon approved the appointments of the two veteran judges, Eom Sang-phil, 55, and Shin Sook-hee, 54, to seats at the top court after the National Assembly's special confirmation committee approved their nominations earlier in the day. The appointment of Supreme Court justices requires consent from the legislature by law. Source: Yonhap News Agency
