Phnom penh: Cambodia has categorically denied firing into Lao territory, rejecting what it called a baseless and irresponsible accusation by the Thai invading forces.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Lieutenant General Maly Socheata, Spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defence, emphasised this rebuttal during a press briefing this afternoon, pointing out that while the Thai army rushed to blame Cambodia, the Lao authorities have neither issued any accusation nor launched an investigation.
Moreover, she dismissed Thai media reports alleging that Cambodia used long-range PHL-03 missile strikes.
"At this moment, Cambodia has no need to deploy such weapons against Thailand," affirmed Lieutenant General Maly Socheata.
