Cambodian, ASEAN Journalists Gather in Guangxi to Explore AI Innovation

Chongzuo: The "Guangxi in the Eyes of International Media 2025" programme commenced today in Chongzuo City, China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, convening journalists from Cambodia and across ASEAN to explore the region's role as a hub for artificial intelligence and China-ASEAN collaboration.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the event, themed 'Sharing New Opportunities, Advancing Together into the Future,' has attracted 27 representatives from leading and influential media outlets across the region. This seven-day gathering aims to highlight Guangxi's strategic importance as China's sole province sharing both land and maritime borders with ASEAN, serving as a crucial gateway for bilateral cooperation.

The programme will focus on showcasing how Guangxi is leveraging its strategic location, resources, and development potential to build a robust AI industrial ecosystem. Participants will have the opportunity to examine Guangxi's efforts to integrate AI research and development initiatives from major Chinese hubs like Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou with its own projects, all within the broader framework of ASEAN cooperation.

The delegation, which includes journalists from Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, and Singapore, will tour the province. This tour is designed to provide firsthand insight into Guangxi's developmental achievements and enable participants to witness the tangible outcomes of regional partnership in the AI era.

The event is jointly organised by the Information Office of the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the Guangxi Branch of China News Service.
