Cambodian Prime Minister HUN Manet to Visit Japan for Bilateral Talks and Business Forum

Phnom Penh: Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, alongside the First Lady, Lok Chumteav Dr. PICH Chanmony HUN Manet, is set to embark on an official working visit to Japan. The visit, scheduled from May 28 to 31, 2025, comes at the invitation of the Government of Japan.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation announced that Prime Minister HUN Manet will meet with H.E. ISHIBA Shigeru, Prime Minister of Japan, for a bilateral discussion. Additionally, the Cambodian leader is expected to engage in separate meetings with leaders from Japan's Diet and deliver a keynote address at the Nikkei Forum 30th "Future of Asia."

The agenda also includes attendance at the Cambodia-Japan Business Forum. The visit aims to strengthen economic ties and promote business collaboration between the two nations.

During their stay, the Prime Minister and the First Lady will connect with the Cambodian community residing in Japan, further fostering cultural and community ties.

The Ministry emphasized that this visit is anticipated to enhance the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Cambodia and Japan. Accompanying the Prime Minister and the First Lady will be H.E. PRAK Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, along with other ministers, senior government officials, and representatives from the private sector.
