Prey veng: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H.E. Aphi Santepundit Sar Sokha and his spouse inaugurated a new four-classroom building at Chi Phuch Kindergarten in Prey Veng province this morning, highlighting the Royal Government's commitment to early childhood education.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the US$80,000 facility, located in Chi Phuch commune, Me Sang district, was funded by former Deputy Prime Minister Samdech Krolahom Sar Kheng and his spouse, Nhem Sakhorn Sar Kheng. During the inauguration ceremony, H.E. Aphi Santepundit Sar Sokha emphasized the Royal Government's dedication to strengthening the education sector under the leadership of Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and acknowledged the valuable legacy of former Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.
He expressed gratitude towards local authorities, construction teams, and philanthropists for their support, stating his confidence that the facility "will provide a better learning and teaching environment, especially for young children who are the nation's future."
Me Sang District Governor Hun Sophat reported that the district now has 65 educational institutions, which include 1 public kindergarten, 22 community kindergartens, 55 primary schools, 6 lower secondary schools, 3 high schools, and 1 learning centre.
