DPM Hun Many Urges the World Not to Overlook Thai Aggression against Cambodia

Phnom penh: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Civil Service H.E. Hun Many has called on the international community not to forget that Cambodians' voices and lives matter. In a Facebook post this evening, H.E. Hun Many expressed his concerns regarding the international community's stance on the situation between Cambodia and Thailand.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Hun Many drew a parallel between the current situation and the tragic events of the 1970s, when the international community failed to acknowledge the realities within Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge regime, resulting in the loss of three million Cambodian lives and immense suffering. He questioned whether history might be repeating itself in 2025, as the international community appears to accept what he describes as a "Thai fabricated narrative" while ignoring the real situation in Cambodia.

Hun Many highlighted the displacement and suffering of many Cambodians and questioned whether the injustices of the past would resurface due to the international community's apparent disregard for Thai actions against Cambodia. He urged the world to recognize and address the ongoing aggressions to prevent a recurrence of the tragic past.
