Her Majesty the Queen-Mother Supports CMAC with a Donation of US$20,000

Phnom penh: Her Majesty the Queen-Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk has donated US$20,000 to the Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) to support mine clearance officers along the border.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the financial support was handed over by Samdech Moha Montrey Kuy Sophal, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Royal Palace, as Her Majesty the Queen-Mother's representative, to H.E. Heng Ratana, Director-General of CMAC.

Speaking on the occasion, Samdech Moha Montrey Kuy Sophal conveyed Her Majesty the Queen-Mother's greetings and blessings to the deminers fulfilling their mission in the border areas.

H.E. Heng Ratana expressed his deepest gratitude to Her Majesty the Queen-Mother for this donation, which demonstrates her support for the efforts of the Royal Government to assist officials carrying out mine clearance operations along the border.

The CMAC Director-General also extended best wishes of good health, strength, and longevity to Her Majesty the Queen-Mother.
