Kampong Cham Offers 11,000 Job Opportunities, Calls on Returnees from Thailand to Join Workforce

Kampong Cham: Kampong Cham province, one of Cambodia's main agricultural hubs, is currently seeking workers to fill 11,000 job vacancies and called on Cambodian workers returning from Thailand to seize the opportunity.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Provincial Governor of Kampong Cham H.E. Un Chanda made the announcement at an official event to hand over 2,000 sets of combat uniforms, sponsored by Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet through Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H.E. Aphi Santepundit Sar Sokha, to the national police force of the province on June 24.

The job vacancies, he added, welcome all interested Cambodian workers from across Cambodia, especially the returnees from Thailand, and a dedicated team has been deployed to assist applicants and streamline the hiring process.

According to H.E. Un Chanda, unskilled workers can expect a starting monthly wage of US$250, with higher wages offered to skilled labourers based on experience and expertise.

The Governor expressed hope that the job opportunities would contribute to enabling returnees from Thailand to rebuild their livelihoods while staying close to their families.
