Key Agenda Set for Upcoming Cambodian Senate and National Assembly Joint Congress

Phnom Penh: The committee responsible for organizing the joint congress of Cambodia's Senate and National Assembly has finalized the main discussion topics for the upcoming event. Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen chaired the meeting on May 13 at the Senate Palace, where the agenda items were established.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the meeting identified crucial topics of social production systems, the informal economy, and agriculture as the main focus for the joint congress. These topics have been assigned to specific teams of lawmakers from both legislative bodies to conduct detailed studies. The teams are expected to draft reports and practical resolutions, which will be reviewed by the organizing committee.

This meeting marks a preparatory step for the joint congress of the Senate and the National Assembly, which is planned for early next month.
