Ministry of National Defence Urges Public to Rely on Official Sources

Phnom Penh: The Ministry of National Defence has urged the public to seek and rely solely on verified and official sources of information, particularly those issued by the Royal Governments and the Ministries of National Defence of both Cambodia and Thailand.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the ministry emphasized in a statement released this morning that these are the most reliable, factual, and authoritative sources of information. This call to action follows the recent circulation of misleading and inaccurate reports by certain Thai media outlets and local social media accounts.

The ministry highlighted that such false narratives have caused public misunderstanding and risk fueling ethnic tensions, which could lead to further escalation. It stressed the importance of relying on information from official channels to prevent confusion and conflict.

Additionally, the ministry urged all citizens to remain calm, uphold peace and friendship, and refrain from actions or beliefs that could incite conflict or war. The statement serves as a reminder of the critical role of accurate information in maintaining regional stability.
