Phnom penh: The Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation (MISTI) today organised a training programme on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Public Innovation. The opening ceremony was presided over by Minister Hem Vanndy, with participation from about 400 of MISTI's management and officials attending in person and online.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the programme is designed to strengthen participants' understanding of AI concepts and applications, foster a proactive mindset for applying AI in public services, and promote awareness of the ethical frameworks needed to ensure responsible use of the technology.
"As AI grows ever more capable of handling repetitive tasks, analysing data, and extracting critical insights from big data, the indispensable role of human judgment remains clear-driving creativity, innovation, and strategic decision-making," said H.E. Hem Vanndy. "Therefore, the development and thoughtful integration of artificial intelligence must align with our priorities, capabilities, and values to ensure this technology serves people and strengthen our capacity to achieve meaningful progress."
