Kuala lumpur: H.E. Keo Piseth, Secretary of the Commission on Legislation and Justice of the National Assembly and Head of the Cambodian Delegation of Young Parliamentarians of AIPA (YPA), led the Cambodian delegation to the Meeting of Young Parliamentarians during the 46th ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), hosted by the Parliament of Malaysia.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the YPA meeting focused on discussing four draft resolutions and successfully adopted three of them. Notably, the National Assembly of Cambodia collaborated with initiating parliaments to co-sponsor two of these resolutions.
The co-sponsored resolutions aimed at pivotal regional issues. The first, "Enhancing the Role of Youth in Digital and Green Transformation for an Inclusive and Sustainable Growth of Southeast Asia," was sponsored by Viet Nam. The second resolution, "Strengthening the Role of Young Parliamentarians to Foster a Sustainable Economy and an Inclusive ASEAN," was sponsored by Malaysia.
