Over 2,000 Units of Blood Collected from Humanitarian Blood Donation Drive

Phnom penh: A total of 2,117 units of blood were collected during the blood donation drive held on July 25 at Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre in Phnom Penh. The figure was shared by Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, expressing his sincere thanks to the Cambodian compatriots for coming together in large numbers for the blood donation, responding to the heartfelt appeal of First Lady Lok Chumteav Dr. PICH Chanmony on the evening of July 24.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, in addition to the successful blood collection, 9,336 individuals registered via QR code to donate blood at a later date. This significant participation highlights the proactive engagement of the community in addressing urgent blood supply needs.

The Prime Minister emphasized that these results demonstrate the humanitarian spirit and solidarity of the Cambodian people. He highlighted the strong support for the potential needs of front-line workers and displaced people in the provinces of Oddar Meanchey and Preah Vihear. The drive reflects a collective effort to ensure a stable blood supply for emergencies and medical needs across the country.
