Phnom Penh’s Riverside Walk Street to Be Officially Inaugurated Following Successful Trial

Phnom Penh: Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet is set to officially inaugurate Phnom Penh's Walk Street on June 21, following its sustained popularity among both local and foreign visitors during its trial period.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Director and Spokesperson for the Phnom Penh Capital Administration Ms. Dor Samphors noted that since the launch of its trial on February 1, the Walk Street has consistently attracted many visitors with its array of services and entertainment.

Stretching from the area in front of the Cambodia Post Office to the Royal Palace, it is Phnom Penh's first and largest pedestrian street along the capital's riverside.

The street features a variety of culinary options, restaurants, stalls selling souvenirs, and a mix of traditional and contemporary performances.

The Royal Government launched the Walk Street as a flagship tourism product aimed at attracting more visitors, generating employment opportunities, and enhancing the energy and appeal of Phnom Penh. This initiative ultimately contributes to Cambodia's broader tourism and economic landscape.
