Phnom penh: Saigontourist Group, a leading Vietnamese tourism corporation with over 50 years of experience, has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthen tourism cooperation with Cambodia. According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the pledge was made during a high-level meeting on Sept. 3 in Ho Chi Minh City between H.E. Huot Hak, Cambodia's Minister of Tourism, and Mr. Ph?m Huy Bình, President of Saigontourist Group. In the meeting, Minister Huot Hak commended Saigontourist for its contributions to Cambodia's tourism sector, notably through tour packages that attract Vietnamese and international visitors. He encouraged the group to expand its investments in Cambodia, highlighting the Royal Government's attractive incentives and supportive policies for foreign investors in tourism. The Minister further requested Saigontourist's support in promoting accurate and positive narratives about Cambodia to counter misinformation that could impact the nation's reputation and tourism industry. He emphasised Cambodia's sta tus as a safe and welcoming destination, noting the Ministry's ongoing coordination with foreign embassies to ensure visitor safety. These efforts include organising Familiarisation (FAM) trips to showcase the country's rich cultural and tourism assets. Both parties agreed to collaborate on organising exploratory tours and to partner with Cambodia's private sector to develop innovative, competitive tour packages for Vietnamese and international tourists. This joint initiative is designed to elevate Cambodia's profile as a premier global travel destination.
