Samdech Khuon Sudary to Visit Hungary in October

Phnom penh: Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly of Cambodia, is set to lead a high-level delegation on an official visit to Hungary this October. The visit aims to enhance legislative cooperation between the two nations and represents a significant step towards strengthening bilateral ties.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the announcement of the visit was made by Samdech Khuon Sudary during a bilateral meeting with H.E. Janos Latorcai, Deputy Speaker of Hungary's National Assembly. The meeting took place on July 30 in Switzerland, on the sidelines of the 6th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament. The visit, originally postponed due to security concerns, is now back on the agenda.

Although the detailed itinerary has not been disclosed, H.E. Janos Latorcai has expressed Hungary's readiness to warmly welcome both the President of Cambodia's National Assembly and a potential future royal visit by His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni. This gesture underscores the importance Hungary places on its relations with Cambodia.

Samdech Khuon Sudary expressed gratitude for Hungary's ongoing support for Cambodia's development, particularly in crucial sectors such as human resource training, agriculture, and healthcare. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to elevating bilateral legislative cooperation, emphasizing the importance of peace and mutual benefit for their nations and peoples.
