Samdech Techo Hun Sen to Participate in Vietnam’s 80th National Day Celebration

Hanoi: Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate and President of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), is set to make an official visit to Vietnam early next week. He will attend the 80th anniversary celebrations of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, scheduled for September 1-2, 2025, in Hanoi. The visit comes at the invitation of H.E. To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV).

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Samdech Techo Hun Sen will be joined by a high-level delegation, including Samdech Pichey Sena Tea Banh, Member of the Supreme Privy Council to His Majesty the King and CPP Vice President, and Samdech Kitti Sangahapundit Men Sam An, Member of the Supreme Privy Council to His Majesty the King, CPP Vice President, and President of the National Council of the Solidarity Front for the Development of Cambodia Motherland. The delegation will also include senior leaders from various ministries, institutions, and the Cambodian legislative body.

During the visit, Samdech Techo Hun Sen will engage in separate meetings with key Vietnamese leaders such as CPV General Secretary H.E. To Lam, H.E. Tran Thanh Man, Chairman of the National Assembly, and H.E. Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister. Additionally, meetings with other foreign leaders present at the commemoration are planned.

This visit marks the third time in 2025 that Samdech Techo Hun Sen has traveled to Vietnam as Senate President and CPP President. It highlights Cambodia's dedication to strengthening mutual trust and enhancing the close bonds of friendship and cooperation with neighboring countries. The visit also emphasizes the joint commitment of the Cambodian and Vietnamese leadership to fostering peace, stability, and sustainable development, in line with their shared vision of 'good neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term stability.'
