Samdech Thipadei Advocates Enhanced Military Collaboration Between Cambodia and Vietnam

Phnom Penh: Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, welcomed Lt. Gen. Nguyen Truong Thang, Commander of Military Region 7 of the People's Army of Vietnam, at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh this afternoon.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the meeting was an opportunity for Lt. Gen. Nguyen Truong Thang to convey his best wishes to the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) ahead of the Khmer Traditional New Year. He detailed the ongoing positive cooperation between the armies of Cambodia and Vietnam, highlighting the strong ties between Military Region 7 and the Royal Cambodian Army.

Lt. Gen. Nguyen Truong Thang assured the Cambodian Premier of Military Region 7's dedication to deepening and broadening its collaboration with the Royal Cambodian Army Command and its subordinate units. This commitment was warmly received by Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, who expressed his satisfaction with the current state of cooperation, especially in areas such as vocational training and capacity-building for the Cambodian military.

The Cambodian Prime Minister encouraged further enhancement of the partnership between Military Region 7 and the Royal Cambodian Army Command, aiming to bolster military cooperation between the two neighboring nations.
