Liuzhou: Secretary of State Hab Touch, Permanent Secretary of State of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts of Cambodia, attended the 2025 ASEAN-Oriented Cultural Exchange and Cooperation Forum in Liuzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. The event was held from August 16 to 20, 2025, at the invitation of China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the forum focused on the exchange of knowledge and experiences concerning new forms of urban tourism and the integration of museums with digital technology. The primary objective was to strengthen collaboration between museums in China and ASEAN member countries, fostering the sustainable development of museums, technology, and innovation. This initiative also aimed to enhance the cultural, tourism, and economic sectors' prosperity.
The forum, themed "Museums and the Future of Cities," brought together leaders and experts from the museum and related sectors from both ASEAN and China. This collective effort is part of a broader goal to build a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future, as highlighted by H.E. Hab Touch during the event.
