Phnom Penh: Cambodian Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has extended his heartfelt congratulations to his compatriots for their celebrations of the Khmer Traditional New Year, observed from April 14 to 16, 2025. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the third session of the 5th legislature of the Senate, held at the Senate Palace in Phnom Penh, Samdech Techo Hun Sen praised the nationwide festive atmosphere.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Senate President highlighted four key factors that contributed to the success of the celebrations. He emphasized peace as the foundation that made such nationwide festivities possible. Additionally, he cited the country's improved infrastructure, the growing availability of transport options, and the steady rise in the people's living standards as essential elements that enhanced the New Year experience for Cambodians.
