New York: UN Secretary-General H.E. Ant³nio Guterres praised Cambodia as a prime example of successful peacekeeping at the Ministerial Meeting on the Future of Peacekeeping, held in New York last week.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the praise was shared by the 'United Nations in Cambodia' Facebook Page on May 23. Once ravaged by civil war, Guterres highlighted Cambodia's transformation into a leading contributor to peacekeeping missions worldwide, with over 8,000 peacekeepers deployed.
