Phnom penh: Cambodian Minister of Tourism H.E. Huot Hak and H.E. Nguy?n Van u?c, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, met on Sept. 4 to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in the tourism sector. The meeting, held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City, focused on promoting deeper tourism ties between Cambodia and Vietnam.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Minister Huot Hak commended the Chairman for his initiative in advancing tourism cooperation, highlighting the complementary nature of the two countries' tourism strengths. He noted that this synergy presents significant opportunities to attract both domestic and international visitors. The Cambodian minister also extended an invitation for Chairman Nguy?n Van u?c and business leaders from Ho Chi Minh City to visit Cambodia and explore its diverse tourism offerings.
Both sides reached a consensus to jointly organize a tourism familiarization trip (FAM Trip) to foster collaboration between private sector stakeholders. The initiative aims to develop new tour packages and enhance joint promotional efforts to market the tourism potential of both Cambodia and Vietnam to regional and international markets.
