Koh kong: The first Special Meeting of the Cambodia-Thailand General Border Committee (GBC) began this morning in the Koh Kong province of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The Cambodian delegation is led by H.E. General Tea Seiha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, who is also the Co-Chairman of the GBC. The Thai delegation is headed by H.E. General Nattaphon Nakphanit, Acting Minister of National Defence and Co-Chairman of the GBC.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the main objective of the Special GBC Meeting is to monitor the implementation of the 13-point Agreed Minutes that were adopted during the Extraordinary GBC Meeting held on August 7, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The Spokesperson for the Cambodian Ministry of National Defence emphasized that the meeting is expected to yield positive outcomes. It aims to encourage both parties to fully and effectively implement the ceasefire, ultimately leading to peace, stability, and the restoration of normalcy at the earliest opportunity.
