Cambodia Named Special Guest at Dili International Expo 2025

Dili: Cambodia has been recognized as a special guest at the Dili International Expo 2025 (DITE 2025), a five-day event taking place at the Dili Convention Centre in Timor-Leste from August 28 to September 1, 2025. The announcement was made by H.E. Nino Pereira, Timor-Leste's Minister of Commerce and Industry, during a meeting with H.E. Pich Rithy, Secretary of State for Cambodia's Ministry of Commerce, on the sidelines of the expo.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Nino Pereira expressed that DITE 2025 serves as a platform for the private sector from various countries to engage in networking and forge business partnerships. He acknowledged Cambodia's participation as a symbol of the enduring friendship and cooperation between the two nations and lauded Cambodia's support for Timor-Leste's aspiration to join ASEAN as its 11th member.

H.E. Pich Rithy conveyed his gratitude for Timor-Leste's hospitality and relayed greetings from Cambodian Minister of Commerce H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul. He affirmed Cambodia's full support for DITE 2025, emphasizing its significance in fostering business relations, tourism, and investment in Timor-Leste. He also expressed optimism about Timor-Leste's future full membership in ASEAN and its potential for rapid progress through agreements like the ASEAN free trade agreement.

The meeting concluded with both officials touring the exhibition venue, where H.E. Nino Pereira commended the Ministry of Commerce for its impressive and distinguished booth design, highlighting it as the most attractive among all displays.
