Cambodia-Thailand General Border Committee Secretariat Meeting Reconvenes in Koh Kong

Koh kong: The Secretariat Meeting of the Cambodia-Thailand General Border Committee (GBC) resumed for its second day this afternoon in Koh Kong province. The meeting, which commenced at 1:50 p.m., continues efforts to enhance bilateral relations and ensure effective implementation of the ceasefire agreement between the two nations.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Cambodian Secretariat team is led by Major General Nhem Boraden, while Lieutenant General Nuttapong Praokaew heads the Thai Secretariat team. The discussions aim to strengthen mutual trust and confidence, serving as preparation for the upcoming Special GBC Meeting scheduled for September 10, 2025.

This afternoon's agenda focuses on reinforcing the effectiveness of the ceasefire agreement, a critical component in the diplomatic engagement between Cambodia and Thailand. The ongoing talks highlight the commitment of both countries to maintaining peace and stability along their shared border.
